The world's oldest steam locomotive Fairy Queen has resumed its once a week run from New Delhi Cantonment Station to Alwar. The 155 years old steam locomotive has been certified by Guinness Book of Records as the world's oldest working engine. It is normally kept in the National Rail Museum but for winter, it is pulled out to take tourists to Sariska Wild Life Sanctuary. The fairy queen is the oldest working broad gauge steam locomotive in the world and was built in the year 1855 by the British firm Kinston, Thompson & hewitson for the British firm east India railways. This train will have only a first class (non - air-conditioned) chair car having 50 seats and a pantry car for on board catering.

Facilities :

The Fairy Queen is a 50 seater train that provides luxurious journey through exotic land of Rajasthan. The Train takes care of the meal, transportation requirements (to and from Alwar- Sariska- Alwar) and accommodation facilities (at the Sariska Palace ) of the passengers.

Day 1 : Saturday 1000 hrs Train leaves Delhi Cantt. railway station 1030 hrs Light snacks on board

1300 hrs Lunch on board 1500 hrs Light refreshment on board 1600 hrs Arrival Alwar railway station 1620 hrs Departure Alwar by air-conditioned coach 1730 hrs Arrival Hotel Tiger Den 1930 hrs Theme dinner. Night stay at Hotel.

Day 2 :Sunday 0630 hrs Jeep Safari for Tiger Sanctuary.

0930 hrs Return from Sanctuary & breakfast at Tiger Den Hotel.

1200 hrs Departure Sariska by air-conditioned coach.

1245 hrs Arrival Alwar railway station.

1300 hrs Fairy Queen leaves Alwar.

1330 hrs Lunch on board.

1600 hrs Light refreshments on board

1845 hrs Fairy Queen arrives Delhi Cantt. railway station.

Booking Rules :

25% to be paid at the time of booking. 25% to be paid 60 days before the journey. Balance 50% to be paid 40 days before the journey.

Cancellation Rules :

25% more than 60 days before departure. 50% - 40 - 60 days before departure. 100% cancellation, less than 40 days before departure.
